Sam von Pollaro is a Principal at Portfolio Logic, which he joined in 2005. Sam focuses on Portfolio Logic’s investments in private companies and is co-leading its efforts in postsecondary healthcare education.
Previously, Sam was a senior analyst at Capital Guidance Corporation, a private international investment company in Washington, DC. While at Capital Guidance, Sam was involved in evaluating, acquiring, and operating businesses in the US, Europe, and the Middle East in industries including wholesale distribution, manufacturing, media, real estate development, and financial services.
Prior to joining Capital Guidance, Sam was an analyst at Dean & Company, a strategic consulting firm in the DC area, where he was involved in engagements in telecommunications, energy, and consumer services.
Sam graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and is a CFA charterholder.
